LOS ANGELES, Calif. — The Cal Lutheran Kingsmen wrapped up their head-to-head conference matchups with two first place finishes and six total top-five finishes at the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Multi-Duals No. 3.

Taking the first title of the day, junior Chris Brodnax ran a lifetime personal-best 48.58-second 400-meter dash, also the eighth best time in Cal Lutheran history. He later joined junior Obasi Dees, freshman Evan Cox and senior Trent Mosley for the 4x100 relay, where the crew finished in second at 42.23 seconds.

Cox went on to impress on his own, claiming the 400-meter hurdles title at 54.38 seconds, a lifetime personal record and the fifth best time in the all-time record books. He also added a second place finish in the 110-meter hurdles, clocking in at 15.63.

In the field events, senior Anthony Flores added a fourth place finish in the hammer throw at 42.11 meters and freshman Emilio Guajardo claimed fifth in the high jump at 1.75 meters.

The Kingsmen now take a week off before heading to the SCIAC Championships on April 27-28 in Claremont, California, hosted by Claremont-Mudd-Scripps.
