Kingsmen Place Top-10 in Four Events

LOS ANGELES — The California Lutheran men's track and field had four top-10 performances at the Oxy Distance Carnival which was hosted by Occidental College at Bill Henry Track.  

The top marks of the day came from Obasi Dees and Timmy Kahovec. Dees was fourth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.95 seconds. Kahohec also placed fourth in the 800-meter run as he finished with a of 1:54.94. His time was just shy of two seconds lower than the leader.

Cal Lutheran's Dillon Brown tuned in two top-10 performances. He was seventh in the long jump with 3.65 meters and eighth in the triple jump with 6.58 meters.

On pole vault, Jordan Wiley placed 15th with a height of 3.65 meters. Anthony Flores then placed 16th for the hammer throw with 34.6 meters.

The meet also saw a mixed 10,000-meter run. Christian Rider finished with a time of 34.18.37 and came in 21st-place. Connor Neufeld-Griffin competed in the 1,500-meter run and was 26th with a time of 4:06.53.

The Kingsmen have a week off before they are back in action. CLU's next meet is the Jim Klein Combined Events in Santa Barbara, Calif., Thursday and Friday, March 22-23.
