Seven Kingsmen Place Top-10

CLAREMONT, Calif. — The California Lutheran men's track and field team saw seven Kingsmen place in the top-10 at the Pomona-Pitzer Collegiate All Comers which was held Saturday at Strehle Track. This was the first meet of the year for the Kingsmen.

Cal Lutheran's Chris Brodnax had the best performance on the day as he was the runner-up in the 400-meter yard dash with a time of 49.67 seconds. He placed in the top-10 two more times. He was sixth in the high jump with 5-10.75 feet and 10th in the 200-meter dash with 22.50.

The second top-five performance came from Dallas Knapp. He made it two Kingsmen in the top-five for the 400-meter dash as he was fifth with a time of 50.47.

Obasi Dees was the second Kingsmen with two top-10 finishes as he placed seventh in the 100-meter dash and eighth in the 200-meter dash. He ran the 100-meter dash in 10.98 seconds and the 200-meter dash in 22.36.

A pair of Cal Lutheran teammates took sixth and seventh in the long jump. Dillon Brown was sixth with a length of 6.59 meters. Jerome Hull was right behind him in seventh with 6.57 meters.

The Violet and Gold saw Anthony Flores then claim seventh in the hammer throw with 36.30 meters.

The Kingsmen also saw good times in the one-mile run and 3,000-meter run. Connor Neufeld-Griffin was 25th in the one-mile run with a quick time 4:33.82 as he placed 25th. Christian Rider than placed 40th in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 9:21.39.

The Kingsmen are back at it Saturday, Feb. 24, and compete in the Rossi Relays Invitational in Claremont, Calif.
