THOUSAND OAKS, Calif.— The Cal Lutheran Kingsmen played the University of Redlands Bulldogs, Saturday morning, for another Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference matchup, and fell 7-2.
Kicking off the morning with doubles, senior Yahn Gawrit and sophomore Isaiah Volk, No. one doubles, fell to the Bulldogs 8-4.
Senior Random Braaten and junior Jake Haffner, No. two double, earned the only victory for the Kingsmen doubles on the day, 8-6.
Freshman Aaron Moylan and Guillaume Ruaud, No. three spot, fell 8-4.
Advancing into singles play, Gawrit, No. one singles, defeated his opponent who was nationally ranked, 6-3 and 6-4.
Continuing on, Braaten, No. two spot, fell 6-2 and 6-1; Volk, No. three singles, fell 6-4 and 6-3; Haffner, No. four singles, fell 6-4 and 6-2; Moylan, No. five, fell 6-2 and 6-0; and junior Sebastian Ariza, No. six singles, fell 7-5 and 7-6 (6).
The Cal Lutheran Kingsmen return to Poulson Tennis Courts Friday, April 12, at 3 PM PST, to play the Whittier Poets.
