INDIANAPOLIS — Luke Rodarte is a national champion! Rodarte is the first national champion in program history as he claimed the 100-yard breaststroke for California Lutheran University men's swimming and diving.

Andreas Nybo added his second All-American honor at the championships as he swam the 200-yard butterfly on day three of the NCAA Championships

After not getting his shot in 2020 due to Covid-19, and the championships not happening in 2021, Rodarte made 2022 count. He defeated the competition by almost a half-second. He set a new school record in the 100 breast and cruised to a time of 52.71 seconds. The next closest swimmer clocked a time of 53.20.

Nybo earned his second All-America honor as he placed sixth in the 200 fly. His mark of 1:46.93 set a new school record and broke his time from 2020. It is the ninth All-America honor of his career.

Saturday is the last day of the 2022 NCAA Championships. Rodarte competes in the 200 breast. Preliminaries start at 10 a.m. EST and the finals are a 6 p.m.
