THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — Cesar Sagastume scored the lone goal for Cal Lutheran men's soccer and the Kingsmen defeated the Redlands Bulldogs 1-0 on Saturday night at William Rolland Stadium.

It is the Kingsmen's third win in a row and third shutout of the season. The Kingsmen's overall record is 4-1-2 and they remain undefeated in conference at 3-0. It is their first win against Redlands since 2017 when the Kingsmen defeated the Bulldogs to win the SCIAC Tournament Championship.

Davis Sharts was in goal and recorded his second straight shutout. He recorded five saves and picked up the win.

Sagastume made his goal in the 52nd minute with the assist coming from Christian Gonzalez

The Kingsmen took a total of 13 shots, with four being on goal. The missed chances did not deter the Kingsmen as the offense kept the oppotunities coming. The defense held strong as the Bulldogs took 17 shots, with only five being on goal.

The Kingsmen hit the road for their next game, another conference battle, against Chapman on Wednesday at 4pm.
