The game was the season opener for the Kingsmen. The Gauchos are one of two Division I opponents Cal Lutheran will face this year.

Austin Cole was next with six points and chipped in with four rebounds and three assists. Connor Cole, Palmer Chaplin and Michael Wadsworth each added two points against the stingy Guacho defense.

The Kingsmen look to bounce back Friday at the UC Santa Cruz Slugs Tipoff Classic. Cal Lutheran takes on UC Santa Cruz at 5 p.m. to start the classic.
