Rematch with Chapman
Earlier this season, the Kingsmen and Panthers clashed in just the second conference series of the year, with Cal Lutheran taking the series 2-1 on March 15-16.

The Kingsmen offense ran through the Chapman pitching staff in game one of the series, stringing together 12 runs on 16 hits, and giving senior Justin Fong more than enough run support for his first career complete-game victory. Every batter in the lineup tallied a hit and five finished with two RBI's in the Kingsmen's 12-3 win.

And though the Panthers took game two 4-1, the Kingsmen rallied to celebrate the series victory with a 7-4 win in game three. Offensively, the team's 5-6-7 spot hitters – junior Matt Sciumbato, senior Weston Clark and sophomore Daniel Parr – led the game with two hits and two RBIs apiece.

Redemption
The Kingsmen enter the weekend with six SCIAC series victories, their only two losses coming against No. 2 La Verne (29-11, 16-8) and No. 3 Occidental (28-12, 16-8).

Against the Best
This season, Cal Lutheran has defeated three of the American Baseball Coaches Association top-25 ranked teams. On top of their series win against No. 7 Chapman in March, they defeated No. 16 Texas Lutheran 4-2 on March 1 and No. 25 Piedmont 4-3 (11 inn.) on February 9.

In the Charts
The Kingsmen head to the tournament as the No. 1 team in the conference and No. 4 team in the nation with 23 triples. Leading the way, Parr and sophomore Tanner Wright top the conference leaderboard with five apiece.

On the mound, junior Christian Slattery leads the SCIAC and is fifth in the nation with nine saves – two of which came against top-ranked Chapman and Texas Lutheran. Joining him, Fong finishes second in the SCIAC with four complete games against Chapman, Caltech, Occidental and Whittier.
