Kevin Judd was named the first NCAA men's volleyball head coach at Cal Lutheran in the fall of 2015. 

In 2019, the Kingsmen were ranked No. 12 nationally in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) preseason poll and were moved up as high as No. 8. In the same year, the program got its first win against a top-10 team as they defeated No. 4 Stevens Institute of Technology 3-2. The Kingsmen garnered their first-ever AVCA National Player of the Week with outside hitter Patrick Rowe earning the award. 

Judd is also an assistant for the women's program and is in his 14th season. In the fall of 2015, he was named the AVCA Assistant Coach of the Year for his contribution to the Regals 2015 NCAA National Championship. Judd joined the women in 2006, primarily overseeing outside hitter and setters. Under his guidance, the Regals have produced 28 AVCA All-American selections, five SCIAC tournament championships, seven straight SCIAC Championships (2010-16) and four NCAA Regional Championships.

Overall, Judd brings more than 25 years of coaching experience combined at the high school, college and club levels. He was instrumental in starting up a men's volleyball program at Moorpark College in 2002. In their first year, they made it to the state championship tournament with a fourth place finish. Three years later, in 2005, they won a state championship.

Between 1997 and 2005 Judd was an assistant women's volleyball coach at Moorpark College. Before that he was the head girls' volleyball coach at Newbury Park High School. From 1992 to 2006 Judd was also the director and head coach for Pacific Volleyball Club.

Judd received a B.S. in Kinesiology from Cal State Northridge in 1999. He and his wife, Nicole, were married in 2007 and now reside in Moorpark with their two children, Cameron and Roxanne. In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf, frisbee golf and kayaking.
