VC Star College First Team of Fall Announced

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. - Announced today by the Ventura County Star, six Cal Lutheran student-athletes were selected to The Star's College First Team of the Fall in 2014. Earning accolades were Allie Eason (volleyball), Robert Foy (football), Zach Graper (men's water polo), Nick Isham (football), Zack Larson(men's soccer) and Kali Youngdahl (women's soccer).

ALLIE EASON

Cal Lutheran - Women's volleyball

The 5-foot-9 junior outside hitter was the spark plug for the Regals this season. Eason finished with 347 kills, 346 digs and 52 aces to help CLU capture a fifth straight SCIAC title and reach the NCAA tournament for the seventh straight season. The Buena High graduate recorded 13 doubles-doubles and averaged 4.51 points per set. Eason was a first-team All-America selection by the American Volleyball Coaches Association, first-team All-West Region selection and a first-team All-SCIAC selection. Eason's favorite singer is Taylor Swift, her favorite food is ice cream and her favorite magazine is "Good Housekeeping." Eason is a psychology major with a minor in business.

NICK ISHAM

Cal Lutheran - Football, offense

The 6-foot, 195-pound junior transfer was the catalyst of the Kingsmen offense in his first season at CLU. Isham threw for a SCIAC-leading 2,539 yards and 23 touchdowns. The Westlake High graduate also led CLU in rushing with 522 yards and four touchdowns. Isham's six touchdown passes against Occidental tied the CLU single-game record. Isham's favorite movie is "Remember the Titans," his favorite food is filet mignon and his favorite athletes are Russell Wilson and Drew Brees. Isham is a music production major.

ROBERT FOY

Cal Lutheran - Football, defense

The 5-foot-10, 220-pound senior linebacker led the Kingsmen in most major defensive statistical categories. Foy finished with 71 total tackles, five sacks and 10 tackles for loss. The Salinas native averaged 7.9 tackles per game and had one interception. Foy's favorite movie is "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly," his favorite band is Metallica and his favorite team is the Los Angeles Dodgers. Foy is majoring in economics.

ZACH GRAPER

Cal Lutheran - Men's water polo

The 5-foot-8, 195-pound senior utility was a consistent source of offense for the Kingsmen this season. Graper scored a team-leading 51 goals and seven assists. In 11 SCIAC games, the Royal High graduate drew a team-high 12 ejections and had 17 steals. Graper was a second-team All-SCIAC selection. Graper is a coach for the Sharks Water Polo Club. His favorite TV shows are "How I Met Your Mother" and "Scrubs" and his favorite professional athletes are Paul George, Peyton Manning and Chris Paul. Graper is a finance major with a minor in international business.

ZACK LARSON

Cal Lutheran - Men's soccer

The 5-foot-11, 155-pound junior transfer led the Kingsmen in nearly every offensive category from his forward position. Larson scored 27 goals, including two game-winners, and had three assists. Six of Larson's 10 goals in SCIAC play were unassisted and he recorded a hat trick against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. The Pasadena resident was a first-team All-SCIAC selection. Larson's favorite movie is "Juice," his favorite band is Waka Flocka Flame and his favorite athlete is Nick Young.

KALI YOUNGDAHL

Cal Lutheran - Women's soccer

The 5-foot-8 freshman midfielder made an immediate impact for the Regals. Youngdahl finished with a team-leading 17 points with seven goals and three assists while starting all 21 games. The Renton, Washington, native was a first-team All-SCIAC selection and a third-team All-West Region Division III selection by the NSCAA. Youngdahl was the only freshman in the nation selected to any of the three NSCAA teams. Youngdahl's favorite book is "To Kill a Mockingbird," her favorite singer is Frank Sinatra and her favorite professional teams are the Minnesota Vikings and Twins. Youngdahl is an accounting major and wants to become an international financial analyst.
