THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. - Everyone played Bingo as a kid; now, the Cal Lutheran student body has the opportunity to play it again with sporting events! CLU athletics, marketing and student life have teamed up to create Purple Pit Bingo complete with prizes at the end of the semester.
Today, Friday, Oct. 3, marketing intern and women's soccer player, Kelly Morro will be handing out Purple Pit PassSport cards outside of Starbucks from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and explaining the rules, which are also on the back of each card.
Additionally, any CLU student interested in playing can pick up a card at five different locations on campus (the Centrum, the Library, Starbucks, Student Life and the Ullman Commons) and begin playing immediately!
The objective is to get as many Bingo squares filled in as possible and at the end of the semester a grand prize ($100 American Express gift card) will be awarded with second and third place gifts ($50 Starbucks cards) as well. Once you get a single bingo, take a photo of your card, post it to Instagram and tag @CLUSports as well as #purplepit and bring it to the Athletics Suite for your name to be entered into a prize pool to win a t-shirt. Drawings will take place throughout the remainder of the semester and will be announced via our social media outlets - Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, which are found below so please follow us on all three.
