Mardell Ramirez stood out as she competed in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Championships. Over the weekend, she garnered three individuall All-SCIAC honors, two relay All-SCIAC honors and set a new SCIAC record in the 200-yard freestyle. On the first day of competition, Ramirez won every event she competed in. On the second day, she earned an individual All-SCIAC honors in the 500-yard freestyle as well as a relay All-SCIAC honors in the 200-yard medley. On the third day, Ramirez garnered All-SCIAC honors as she set a new SCIAC record while claiming gold in the 200-yard freestyle. On the final day of competition, she earned another individual All-SCIAC honors for the 100-yard freestyle as well as a relay All-SCIAC honors in the 400-yard freestyle.
