Mardell Ramirez a native of Santa Monica, Calif. led the Violet and Gold with three individual victories. On Saturday, she helped the Regals defeat Redlands for the first time in program history. The Regals knocked off Redands 123-117 and also defeated La Verne 154-82. Ramirez won every event she competed in on Saturday: the 200-yard freestyle (1:55.45), 100-yard backstroke (1:01.75) and the 500-yard free (5:12.59). She has been named the AOW three times this year and in back-to-back weeks.
