Senior third basemen Davey Casciola was named to the 2016 NCAA Division III Baseball Spokane Regional All-Tournament Team after batting .571 (4-for-7) with four runs and three walks in his final two games in the Violet and Gold. In the opener against Texas-Tyler on Wednesday, Casciola racked up a game-high four of the 12 Kingsmen hits while adding a run in a narrow 4-3 defeat. In an elimination game against Pacific Lutheran on Friday, Casciola drew three straight walks and scored all three times while helping CLU out to an early lead against the Lutes. With four runs scored over the weekend, Casciola broke a 24-year old CLU record for most runs scored in a single season with 60.
