Davey Casciola led the Kingsmen to their fourth consecutive SCIAC Championship, their third SCIAC Postseason Tournament title in four years and an automatic bid to the NCAA Playoffs after hitting .643 (9-for-14) with two homeruns, six RBIs and four runs scored during the week. On Monday, the senior third basemen helped CLU clinch the regular season title in a must win game against Redlands with a 3-for-4 performance, two RBIs and a run scored. To open the SCIAC Tournament, Casciola tacked on three more hits including a key RBI single in the bottom of the seventh and had his third straight, three-hit game of the week in a 6-3 win over Redlands on Saturday. In the title game against Occidental, Casciola walked and scored a run while adding an RBI sacrifice fly late in the game.
