Michael Bassette captured his third straight SCIAC title in the Shot Put at the 2016 SCIAC Track & Field Championships over the weekend. Bassette won the event with a throw of 15.56m on his first attempt of the day and also earned All-SCIAC accolades with a third place finish in the Discus on Friday. The senior threw the Discus 42.10m to reach the podium while also scoring with a sixth place finish in the Hammer Throw (46.53m).
