Zach Loza had an impressive showing at the SCIAC Championships, breaking five school records and making four trips to the podium, coming in the 800 Free Relay, the 400 Medley Relay, the 400 Free Relay and the 200 free to earn All-SCIAC honors. The junior broke the 200 free school record with a fast 1:40.76 split in the leadoff leg of the 800 Free Relay that finished second overall with another CLU record and NCAA 'B' cut time of 6:47.17. On the third day of competition, Loza placed third in the 200 free (1:41.42) to earn All-SCIAC and helped set another school record as a member of the 400 Medley Relay (3:28.33) on Sunday. The Walnut Creek, Calif. native also broke the 100 free record with a time of 45.73 during the leadoff leg of the third place 400 Free Relay that broke a school record with a time of 3:04.48.
