Moises Cardenas, Tennis

Moises Cardenas earned his second straight All-America honor after advancing to the Quarterfinals at the 2015 NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Championships. The Van Nuys, Calif. native took care of No. 7 Robert Kjellberg from North Carolina Wesleyan in the Round of 32 with a 7-5, 6-2 win and used a come-from-behind 4-6, 7-6, 6-3 victory later that afternoon to punch a ticket to the Quarterfinals and advance farther than he ever has before. Squaring off against No. 2 Chris Krimbill of Case Western Reserve, Cardenas opened with a 7-5 victory but ultimately dropped the next two sets to see his outstanding career come to a close. During his two-year CLU career for the Violet and Gold, Cardenas earned a pair of All-America nods, two All-SCIAC selections and numerous Academic accolades.
