Blake Lewis caught fire at the plate and went 7-for-11 with two homeruns, two doubles, five RBIs, three runs scored and five walks in four games over the weekend. The junior designated hitter went 3-for-3 with a double in the Regals opening game against No. 17 Linfield (Ore.), accounting for half of the team's total hits. In the second game of the doubleheader, Lewis blasted her first homerun of the season, a two-run shot to centerfield, and she finished the day a combined 5-for-6. On Saturday afternoon, Lewis was key in helping the Regals to a sweep over Pomona-Pitzer with a hit in each game to extend her hitting streak to seven games. She also hit her second homerun in as many days during a first game 6-0 win over the Sagehens.
