Ore Wahnishe, Swimming & Diving

In his first SCIAC Championships, junior Ore Wahnishe produced multiple record-breaking performances. Of the 16 total CLU records to fall, Wahnishe was responsible for six of them, including three individual records and three as a member of a relay team. The transfer swam the fastest 50 free in CLU history with a time of 20.92 and he also set the record in the 100 free with a time of 46.19 to place fifth in the championship final. In the last race of the meet he lowered that 100 time even more to 45.97. His third individual record came in the 100 butterfly final, where he placed fifth after touching the wall in 50.49. Wahnishe swam the opening leg in all three record-breaking relays, helping the Kingsmen to top marks in the 200 Free Relay (1:24.30), 400 Free Relay (3:05.65) and the 800 Free Relay (6:53.61) that crushed the previous record and earned All-SCIAC recognition in the process.
