Chelsea Jacoby led the Regals to two victories between Dec. 22 - Jan. 4 and scored a combined 40 points in those games, including a 28-point performance in a big 72-67 overtime win over UC Santa Cruz. In the overtime period, the junior guard scored 10 of the team's 14 points and went 4-for-4 from the free-throw line down the stretch. For the game, Jacoby shot 10-for-19 from the field, converted 8-of-10 at the charity stripe and added six rebounds, five assists and two blocks. In the Regals SCIAC opening win against La Verne, 72-58, Jacoby turned in a strong all-around performance with 12 points, seven rebounds, five assists, five blocks and two steals.
