Connor McGuire helped lead the Kingsmen to their first victory of the season with a 67-56 win over Pacific (Ore.) during the Surf's Up Classic hosted by Cal Lutheran in Honolulu, Hawaii. During the two-day tournament McGuire totaled 12 points, 19 rebounds, six assists, three blocks and one steal. The junior forward grabbed a career-high 13 rebounds against Puget Sound (Wash.) in the second game of the tournament, including six of which came on the offensive glass. In game number one, McGuire shot 3-of-4 from the field including knocking down a three-pointer en route to seven points and he added six rebounds in the win.
