Melissa Skiba became the fastest 1,500m runner in SCIAC history when she ran a 4:26.13 on Saturday at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational. The time broke a 27-year-old league mark by nearly a full second as she set a four second personal best. Skiba is the only current SCIAC record holder from Cal Lutheran. Skiba is also the NCAA Division III 1,500m leader by more than six seconds while also holding an edge in the 5,000m.
