Jake Petersen helped CLU to its 12th straight SCIAC series victory both on the mound and at the plate against Occidental and a 3-1 week overall. The senior threw a complete game two-hitter while striking out a season high 10 in game one against the Tigers. In the doubleheader Saturday, Petersen went 3-for-7 with his team leading 11th double of the season. For the season, Petersen is second in the SCIAC in batting average, hitting at a .484 clip and is tied for the lead with three wins on the mound. Against No. 15 Ithaca on Thursday, Petersen also added a hit and an RBI to round out the week with four hits, two for extra bases including a double and a triple and was successful in his only stolen base attempt. Defensively, he was perfect with a putout and four assists.
