In his first SCIAC Championships, freshman swimmer Zach Loza left his mark on Cal Lutheran, setting three individual school records, while also competing on a record setting relay. On the opening day of competition he earned a 200 Free Relay All-SCIAC nod as the quartet placed third with a time of 1:25.38. His 500 free time was a 16-second personal best and a school record by more than a second in 4:43.16, which he reached after swimming it just a couple of times this year, serving primarily as a sprinter. The final day of competition saw two records fall, one in the 100 free, with a time of 46.99, before leading off the record setting 400 Free Relay team that finished in 3:09.34.
