The SCIAC Championship distance events belonged to Melissa Skiba who won both the 5000m and the 1500m races. Skiba ran a 17:00.35 in the 5000m, breaking the previous meet record set back in 1985 while also setting a school record.She also won the 1500m race in a time of 3:46.23. Both of Skiba's times rank in the top-ten nationally.
